As part of their new theme, the children have been learning about Arctic animals, have listened to many stories about winter including 'one snowy day' and have even painted pictures using coloured ice! Here are some photos of the children hard at work!

Reception have been very busy so far this week with our new topic of 'Winter'. We explored different 'cold' colours to paint Wintery pictures. We have been reading the book 'Blue Penguin' and practising using our phonics in our play. In Maths we have been thinking about numbers to 10 and exploring matching numeral to quantity within this. Outside, we are always very busy with the large construction which is crucial in developing our gross motor and core strength.
